Three Reasons Divi Builder’s Global Module will Be Your New Favorite Feature

Editing multiple pages can be a daunting task for any web professional, but it doesn’t need to be. We believe this feature might be one of the most underutilized features within the Divi Page Builder.

The Global Module creates a universal template that’s mirrored across pages where it is used. When the global element is updated or changes are made, the update is applied to all the pages you’ve added the global module to.

For your next project here are a few reasons our team thinks you should consider this feature:

Easy to Learn:. If you’re familiar with the standard module then you’re well on your way to mastering the global module. When using this feature you’ll notice many similarities to the standard module. The icons are the same, except they’re green and you edit the same way you would a standard post. If needed, the global feature can be turned off on a particular page or section.

Library Friendly: When you’ve finished designing your module, you can save it to your Divi Library. The Divi Library is a place where individual layouts you’ve created with the Divi Builder are saved. When you are ready to add your module to the library, click on the blue button that reads “Save and Exit” then select “Make this a Global Item”. Doing this will add your module to the library where a master template will be saved until it’s ready for use. When you’re ready to add your Global Module to a page, look for the bright green boxes in your library.

Saves Time: Our top reason for integrating this feature into our workflow is knowing how much time we saved. We took advantage of the automatic updates of each section on the pages it’s applied to. Because of this. you do not need to go back and edit all pages of a particular section or double check that each section has the same settings.

By using the Global Module tool, the time you save can be used to focus on the user experience and buildout. If you’re looking to optimize your workflow by speeding up your design and editing process, consider using the Global Module.
