SPIN GROUP DEVELOPS SITE FOR MILWAUKEE WORKPLACE GIVING AGENCY
Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee (formerly ACHOICE) has just launched its new website. The site will enable visitors to learn about Community Shares and the 50-plus Milwaukee area non-profit organizations it supports. The website will also allow visitors to contribute online. The new site is located at www.milwaukeeshares.org.

Founded in 1981, Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee is the area’s only workplace giving federation with an emphasis on social change, economic justice and environmental awareness – with its focus completely on conditions in metropolitan Milwaukee.

"It is important for people in Milwaukee to be able to contribute back to the community in which they live and to do so conveniently," said Niedra North, executive director of Community Shares. "The site will keep our contributors, members and volunteers informed and provide a safe medium for contributions."

Spin Group, Community Shares’ website developer, understood the importance of creating a website that clearly communicates the client’s message without confusing the visitor. The site is purposefully simple to navigate and the content is kept short and to the point. Because the site serves as a timely information center for Community Shares and its members, it was also built for easy and quick updates.

"Working closely with Community Shares, we saw their current needs to educate contributors and support its members but we also discussed and planned for any future needs they may have," said Gary Wong, head programmer and cofounder of Spin Group. "With careful heads-up planning, Community Shares now has a site that can grow as they grow."
